EXTREME ENVIRONMENT DIORAMA CRITERIA

1.  Create a model of an extreme environment. Use clay, pipe cleaners, wood, cardboard, legos, colored paper or other art items to build your scene. The entire inside of the box needs to be covered. Include details that show how this environment is considered extreme. (ie- High altitude showing lack of resources, extreme cold…)

2.   The scene in your diorama must show how humans use technology to help them survive. You must have at least 3 examples of technology used in this environment.  (Even simple wooden goggles with slits cut out is an example of technology used by the Inuit to prevent snow blindness.)

3.   You must include a detailed, written description of each type
 of technology describing:
·  Who invented it. (specific person, organization  or group)
 ·  What materials are used to make it.
